On arrival the staff were quick to get my room and details sorted in a friendly and helpful manner.

The room was bright, clean and comfortable...with all the amenities you could ask for inc an iron and board, stove, microwave and a dishwasher!

i would definately stay there again- value for money!

I stayed in this property when it first opened as Cube Apartments. In the last three years I've stayed there several more times because it is as good today as it was then. It's nice to see that even with a change of ownership it's still providing the same service.
The apartments aren't huge but they are very comfortable; it's nice to have a kitchenette and the supermarket is around 5-10 minutes walk away. The bed is great, everything is clean and the shower is a generous size.
The current staff are extremely helpful although not all have English as their first language so be patient! The location is great with plenty of restaurants within walkiing distance. I don't eat in the cafe, this is Melbourne after all. There are too many good choices for coffee nearby - walk out of the door and turn right. At the end of the street you find a great coffee place, cross the road and take a few steps and you find an Illy cafe and if you keep going to the end of the street you come to Trunk (which is a fantastic breakfast place and an even better dinner place).
I will keep coming back to Fraser Place because the price is good, the rooms are nice and I know that what I'm promised will be delivered.

Room Tip: As for a room above the 10th floor, they seem to be a little larger.

I stayed for 3 nights in a standard studio room. Room was modern and clean, great kitchen and good size for studio. I stayed on 4 th floor only downside was that it was a bit noisy with rubbish trucks/ deliveries early in the morning. Did also miss not having gym.

We stayed here for 7 nights during a month long visit to Australia and would highly recommend it. As others have mentioned the location was excellent within easy reach of everything you'd want to see and do. Don't be put off by the negative comments regarding the side street either - Yes it is in a side street but then many worthwhile things in Melbourne are. We felt considerably safer here than we do living in London!

I was also slightly worried about the rude staff that I'd heard so much about. Again, we had no such issues. They weren't exactly a laugh a minute, their English wasn't always particularly great and they knew little or nothing about the local attractions but a flick through the lonely planet guide and a chat with some friendly locals soon sorted that.

The rooms were in good condition and cleaned regularly. The only slight issue we had was that there was an unpleasant smell in the lift area on our floor. I can only assume that it was near the cleaning/refuse cupboard or something but it really should be addressed.

The frosted glass wall of the bathroom was another minor gripe. As a design feature I'm not sure what its purpose is and if you turned it on at night it would light the entire room which is particularly unwelcome

Overall a great place to stay and for the money I think you'd be hard pushed to do better!

We stayed here for one week during the Australian Open tennis tournament. The location was excellent - we could walk to all the key sights, including the tennis. The hotel is on a narrow side-street but very close to a shopping centre with food stores etc. The apartment itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a small balcony, safe, reasonably equipped kitchen and a very good television on which to watch the tennis we didn't have tickets for! This was the best value of the 4 different places we stayed during our 3 weeks in Australia and we would definitely recommend it.
