Two of us ventured into Latte for a quick business lunch. I had heard good things and this was borne out by my experience, excellent tasty food, good service and well priced. The only downer was being told that the fixed price menu included wine when we had ordered from the wine menu already. A free coffee wasn't much consolation. But this is a good place to eat and the fixed price lunch is highly recommended.

Had excellent piece of grilled barramundi. However the gnocchi was overcooked. Bill was dear with addition of two glasses of proseco costing $30

First mistake, the coffee orders for 2 were wrong. Baked eggs looked like a spoon of tinned beans, tinned tom soup and hard eggs. Tasted awful. The toast was hard, dry with no butter offered. Then the bill was incorrect. Never again.

I used to go to Café Latte often but it seems that the restaurant is much noisier than before the renovation. I have only eaten dinner there and usually fish, pasta or a soup. They are generally very good. The fish dish I had last was delicious. The staff are pleasant the atmosphere is a little lacking but clean and bright. It is only a small restaurant so you need to book and it can be a little noisy. There is a large room upstairs you can book for a private party The owner Lucca is also a delightful character.

There's no question about Cafe Latte's food, which offers eclectic Italian fare. The veal scallopini was the highlight and a very generous serve (which you'd expect for $36!). The issue with this restaurant is how noisy it has become since its renovation and the removal of a centre bar. Now it is one big room where patrons compete with each other trying to be heard - or hear - above the cacophony! Okay for a quick meal with a table no larger than 4 - any larger and it becomes a chore to engage in conversation. Just next door is Bistro Thierry, which has marvellous food (magnificent French fries!) that can be enjoyed in a much quieter, even romantic, atmosphere.
