walked into lygon street the other day to have dinner.choices gallore as there were at least 80 restaurants to choose from. we came across this little restaurant and the menu looked very appealing and the bloke out the front was friendly and gave us free corkage and garlicbread.my friend and i shared a gnocchi with a creamy basil sauce and prawns. it was the best gnocchi i have ever had. so good.then it came to mains. i ordered the twice cooked pork belly and my friend had the scotch fillet. her first bite from the steak had a big hair in it. they tokk that away and cooked her another one. my pork belly was as tough as old boots and the crackle was horrible. i could not eat it. when i asked for the manager to complain i got the guy out the front doing his dirty work.they did take my meal of the bill but we should have left after the entree.
i went to the toilet and walked passed the kitchen(which was tiny) and both chefs? were sitting on the floor.what the...any way almost broke my neck stepping of an unmarked step to the toilet.
the female toilet door on the inside was so filthy i dont think it it had ever been cleaned. the toilet cistern had lost its flusher and there was just a pin sticking out. no paper to dry your hands or even a bin to put it into.
if you are brave go for the gnocchi but leave straight after and go have a meal somewhere else.
