Make sure you llok a tthe building numbers in the street otherwise hard to find - it is halfway down the lane way.

For $135 per night for a two night stay, you can't go wrong. The twin beds were average to sleep on - so pay a bit extra for a queen.

The rooms are very clean and have a great bathroom with a bath, robe and all you soaps & lotions that you get in a five star deal.

The price also included a continental breakkie which was more than adequate.

Grab a bottle of red from the Foodland in Elizabeth street and go & visit Monty at the Spice Room in the laneway - fantastic food and all for a $10 a meal.

Good budget hotel............

Room Tip: You are in the CBD so expect some night time activity with rubbish & deliveries.............

I went to Melbourne for a girls' weekend with my sister and cousin and stayed in a triple deluxe room. This included 3 single beds. The room was clean and tidy and the hotel was in a great location. The service was great and checking in and checking out went smoothly. We were close to the Bourke Street mall and Federation Square.

Just be aware that there is no hairdryer in this room and our room type had a bathroom that was handicap friendly so you need to make sure you don't get the water all over the entire bathroom floor from the shower.

Overall it was a great place to stay. Would recommend it.

Room Tip: Try and get a room away from the lifts.

We stayed in the Causeway 353 when visiting family in Epworth Hospital. Wonderful location when arriving from Melbourne Airport using Skybus then free shuttle. Warm welcome at reception, lovely comfortable bed and the room was quiet and dark. Breakfast was included at a fabulous low rate per night and was more than adequate with excellent variety. Close to Bourke Street mall and some wonderful cafes .Would definitwely stay again and recommend to others.

This is a clean reasonable hotel, well located for shopping and transport. Not much effort put in to breakfast and the room I was in was scuffed. Clean though. Staff were helpful. No free wifi. I don't know what is so difficult about free wifi. The Causeway Inn around the corner is cheaper and just as good.

Had a great time in Melbourne . Y
The hotel was in a perfect location. Had great beds and showers. The breakfast and breakfast area was only average however, so ended up out the front door and to the right to a fantastic cafe .
Who'd stay there again, so can't have been all that bad.
