“Great food”
Reviewed March 6, 2013 via mobile

This joint is a must for ramblers from the oul sod who wander to Melbourne. I have dined here numerous times and have yet to be disappointed with the fare or the quality. Ranging from the stew, to bangers & mash and lock Aussie favourites, bring your appetite. The ploughmans breakfast is a must

“Amazing Irish Food”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

I have eaten here several times - the food is always delicious - homemade, hearty wholesome tucker. You're better off going there with an empty stomach - because the meals will fill you!! The service is always exceptional. I just can't say enough about this place! It's great for a few drinks on a Sunday afternoon - they provide live traditional Irish music.

“Good atmosphere and hearty stews”
Reviewed March 15, 2012

There is a warm atmosphere in the dining area and more relaxed drinking vibe in the front area. Food is delicious, especially enjoy the beef and Guinness pie and the stew which comes in a loaf of bread!

“Busy pub good service”
Reviewed February 18, 2012

Like the menu, a few interesting choices, so hard to decide. Really good service- all the girls have Irish accents so backpackers perhaps?

Food was just above average pub nosh. Medium rare beef fillets (ordered more rare than medium) were more like well done, but still tender and tasty. Parsnip purée didn't taste very fresh. Lamb shank was just ok- somehow a bit dry?

The stews served in cob loafs looked amazing. All the serves were pretty generous. Loved the traditional Irish snacks you can but to take home.
