Small but comfy little restaurant with nice vistas over the city...well, if it wasn’t for the smoke! Food is traditionally Greek. Good servings of the usual dips and platters. Everything was fresh and tasty. Saganaki a bit salty. Our dinner would’ve been more enjoyable if it wasn’t for a very noisy group of young ladies celebrating a birthday. Given the small surroundings, things got noisier and noisiest as the night progressed. But I guess they were also entitled to a good evening! I tend to think that Melina’s is more suited for group parties than quiet dinners. However, there are no complaints about the food or service overall. The only thing that soured the evening a bit was actually the exorbitant surcharge when the bill arrived... the explanation given: it was Sunday i.e. penalty rates etc. All very well, but makes one think twice about having to fork out nearly $100 extra just for having dinner on Sunday!
