Such a lovely little colorful place! whoever the artists are they did such a superb job! Jut on a small lane beside the St.Paul's cathedral, worth a visit!

One of my favourite spots in Melbourne - there is always some new piece of art to look at, not to mention my old favourites! I have visited this city so many times over the years and have never been able to resist a visit... No matter how busy, or full my calendar; when in Melbourne, I always find a way to end up near Hosier Lane, so I have an excuse to pop down for a quick, or lingering look! No matter whether you are an art aficionado, or totally uninterested in all things cultural, there is something on Hosier Lane for you..

This is a great little lane with lots of graffitti and the best restaurants on and around it. Wandering around this area is a MUST DO when coming to Melbourne and also when living here

If you have a few minutes, take a moment and make a detour here. The entire alleyway is covered with great street art that is bursting with creativity and beauty. It's completely different from the city center that will leave you thinking if you were transported somewhere else. There's nothing else in Melbourne quite like it.

No funky cafes, no quirky boutiques, just an empty alleyway with every square inch covered with the most amazing spray-paint art you'll see in the city.
I hesitate to call it graffiti - the works that cover the walls, the grates, even the bins, really are works of art. A woman's face two storeys high, an elephant god dancing, a quirky bunny in a tophat, a tribute to the Mona Lisa ... it's as much fun as a gallery exhibition, and probably more so for the kids.
The great thing is that it's nice and open with locals using the lane as a short-cut to Fed Square, and visitors wandering up and down to admire the walls, so it's quite safe. Definately worth a visit.
