“Amazing hot chocolate”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

We're semi-regular visitors to Daylesford, and love it. Whenever we go, we make time for a visit to the Chocolate Mill to have a cup of hot chocolate and grab a select few choccies on our way out.
We've never seen the chocolate demo so can't comment on that, but the hot chocolate is worth the short drive out of town. Grab some of their double dipped licorice logs too - delicious.

“Off season choc wonderland”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

We visited this wonderful strawbale building in a bush setting during the off season and mid week. The chocolate is expensive compared to the commercially available stuff, but when the talk and presentation is given, you realise that the rubbish available from the supermarket is just that. We bought a small selection to take home, and rationed ourselves to one each per day, and when they were gone, we were wishing we had bought more. These are chocolate delicacies, not the sickly stuff from shops, so make sure you get a good selection. A minimum purchase of $50 would give a couple a week of gourmet chocolate pleasure, if you can make them last that long. (That is less than two bottles of wine) They have a mail order if you get really hooked.

“Sweet tooth's heaven”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

In a beautiful bush setting, we drove down during our stay in Daylesford and we were glad we did! Whilst the chocolate isn't cheap, the amazing flavours are worth it. All fair trade and palm oil free, with lots of different options. The peanut butter/caramel was my fave! A nice little cafe adjoins it.

“Don't waste your time”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

We were there to see how they made the chocolates and were right on time for the demo. The window you have to view this task is far too small and no one sees anything except the kids at the front. Chocolates are overpriced.

“Don't bother”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

Went here over Easter while staying in daylesford. As others have said it was interesting till all the signs hit you. We walked out of presentation after he kept bagging other companies and saying how many tones he sells. Who cares.. Brought a coffee and hot chocolate on the way out. OMG teach your staff how to temper milk. All froth and the milk was totally destroyed. Did joy drink either, all this distracted from the fact that my partner loved the frangelico
Truffle.
