“Yes! Yes! Yes! Must-must-must!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2011

We read other reviews about this place and decided to enjoy our first breakfast there. And what a breakfast! We went there the second day...and the third day...and the fourth day. The food is so delicious, the atmosphere is really nice, and the staff is very friendly. They could even talk Norwegian to some extent!
Try out the organic bread with poached eggs, try the salmon-thing, try the "ice-milk" for the kids....try everything!!! I wish I could have such a place in my hometown. We will definitely go back if we return to Hobart some time. It does not matter that you end up with around AUD 70-80 per breakfast for a family of four. It is definitely worth it.
Bring your camera; the whole Battery Point is very nice and romantic.

“Have to visit if you're going to Hobart”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2011

Not dissapointed at all by our visits to Jackman & McRoss in Hobart. Food was delicious and with lots of variety - we had the lamb on flatbread, the lamb shanks pie, lemon curd tart (Yum!), the almond croissant ... and there were so many others we didn't get around to that we wanted to try. Place is always packed which speaks for how good it is. We'll definitely be back when we visit Tassie again.

“Great Café & Bakery - best place for breakfast in Hobart”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2010

We absolutely fell in love with Jackman & Ross during our recent trip to Hobart. It's location, right in the center of historic Battery Point, the shabby-chick decor and the great young team looking after you provided for a true feel-good factor. The constant stream of local residents checking in to get their bread, grab their lunch boxes or sit down for a chat over a flat white and a croissant was truly cool.

“The variety of interesting yummies necessitate repeat visits”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2010

Well worth breakfast, morning tea, brunch and/or lunch - more then once!

Too interesting to pass up - cute on the outside and tempting on the inside.

Definitely a recommended visit.

“Lovely Bakery / Cafe. Best value in Hobart”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2010

Recommanded by the bike tour guide. Good lunch selection with day specials; pasta, foccacia, sandwiches, quiche, salads, pies, etc. A lovely lunch and great value for money. Wish we had time to sample the breakfast. Staff are friendly but rushed. Obviously a favourite with the locals as it gets quite busy around 12 am.
