A group of us ate here on Thursday night for the $35 head buffet. There was a reasonable selection but the foods were tasteless. It was presented well but the hot food was only luke warm, the gravy bland & the salads were outdated & boring. The soggy cauliflower & cheese dish looked unappetising and people that had the roast meat said it was only "just". There were only 2 cheeses offered & both lacked bite. Out of the 37 people in our group, only 1 actually said their meal was enjoyable. This experience is one you should definitely avoid. Some of the deserts were delicious though & their is a lot that children would enjoy. There are some excellent restaurants in & around Sandy Bay that offer top quality, scrumptious food & for less money than the Coffee Shop. I would never eat there again, not even for half the price because I enjoy good food.

Everything we had for breakfast this morning was of good quality, eg lean bacon, perfectly cooked poached eggs. The grilled tomatoes tasted home grown. A good choice was available. Did not feel hungry for the rest of the day.

Buffet style meals with plenty of choice. We had breakfast on 2 mornings and we found it offered plenty of fresh fruit etc. as well as various yogurts, cereals and cooked food to suit a variety of visitors. Evening dinner looked to be very, very busy with people queuing for their food but I didn't hear any complaints about the quality if the food.

My wife enjoyed her continental breakfast options whereas I didn't see many options for the cooked breakfast. Otherwise, the food was good.

Nice food, fresh buffet, great roasts. Not our first choice at Wrest Point but was ok... Will visit again.
