I went to Orizuru Restaurant last night. We had been there a year ago and it was very good so we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it wasnt as good. The service was pushy to the point of being annoying and the food quality had gone down. We opted for their bento box which was supposed to be " a bit of everything" the tempura was bellow average and cold, the sushi, sashimi and rolls werte very small and the hot food was cold breadcrumbed deep fried stuff. Maybe in Australia, £20 for a bento box gets you the cheap quality dishes.

We just had lunch and the food was faultless, great atmosphere next to Muir's seafood and the freshest produce. The Saki range was also extensive and well presented. I will be back for another meal sometime, very good. All the fishing boats are moored up in front of you and you can inspect the seafood next door. TonyHutch

This restaurant is authentically Japanese with the usual - Australian-Japanese - broad range of meal types and cooking styles including soba noodles, tempura, sushi and sushimi and a fine variety of Japanese sake. The service is prompt, the bento box lunch perfectly balanced & portioned. Sitting in Orizuru you'll feel sorry for the other dinners outside eating the more primitive offerings of fish & chips served up in Mures. Expect $25 a head for lunch, more at dinner.

We went to Orizuru after a long day of sightseeing and it was delicious. The quality of the fish was outstanding and the miso soup really hit the spot on a chilly night. The service was prompt and surprisingly for a Japanese place, the bill was very reasonable. I would defintiely recommend it.
