We wanted a reasonably priced meal and to sit in the sun. We ordered medallions of fillet steak with bococinni and cherry tomatoes. it all arrived very quickly and the steak was great and a good meal. Desert also very good. the service was fantastic. Highly recommend. Wine list a little limited.

My recent dining experience had to be told. Went to Maldini and the kitchen was about to close in another 10-15 minutes or so. The waitress was quite efficient and got our order asap. We ordered pasta and gnocchi and the quality of the meal was superb. I had gnocchi with salmon and it was a first, but will definitely not be the last. That is a great dish. The wine selection complimented the food and made for an impressive late dinner. Well done Maldini :) P.S. The staff are simply beautiful!

Great food with generous portions. The service was fantastic and there is a great atmosphere in the place. Fillet steak and seafood risotto were delicious

We arrived into Hobart on a Wednesday evening and we were able to get a table just after 9pm. We were told that we could only have the pasta options as the kitchen was winding down. Fair enough. We chose a pasta with artichoke and ricotta. The service was good, however the food was not. The pasta was very plain and bland, however the problem was the ricotta. It was very bitter and didn't taste fresh and creamy as it should have. In fact it was inedible. We tactfully suggested that the chef taste the cheese, which in my opinion was off. The waitress returned to tell us that he had tasted it, that the packet had been opened the day before and that it was within its use by date. That may well be the case but who hasn't had food spoil before the use by date? We felt that our complaint was dismissed without proper redress. Both my partner and myself could not eat the ricotta. We were very disappointed and will never eat there again.

This restaurant in the Salamanca area of Hobart is in a beautiful building, great position on the park. It has Al Fresco area and indoor seating.
The menu is varied without being overwhelming, with an emphasis on seafood.
The portions are generous and the food is fresh and prepared to order.
The food was good without being great.
The wait staff were reasonable but lacked any liveliness or apparent interest in their other role of making customers feel "welcome". They served everything that was ordered.
Go here for a reliable good eating experience, not to dine!
