We had been recommended this place to eat and as much as it did offer a variety, we didn't feel that it was the best seafood meal we had and really expected something better. The serves were generous however we had two dishes to share and didn't realise from the reading of the menu that the seafood dish with cashew nuts would be a green curry which left us with 2 similar meals. Could have been poor reading on our behalf but Im not sure. Sunday night was very busy and we were seated in an alcove/ room with not a lot of ambiance or atmosphere. I wouldn't rush back.

The Drunken Admiral is a bit of a must do if you are in Hobart. It's an eclectic collection of maritime memorial. And you simply have to take a few minutes to have a quick walk around to look at things. The kids of all ages will be fascinated.

The food is basic sort of upper pub; perfect for the market they are pitching too. If you like bread definitely try a Vienna loaf as a side. The food is however, a bit pricey, but we found this to be the case with most of the eateries around the quays. But, a hot meal on a cold night with good company. You can't do much better! We'd go again.

This was the first Resturant we went to after we flew in from the UK. Gorgeous, fresh fish and excellent table service and advice by Rachel . Plenty of gluten free options too which we loved. I totally recommend coming here.

We ordered a few options on the menu and some were a hit and some were a miss unfortunately. Hit - the chowder was tasty and creamy! Miss- the coconut prawns had no seasoning and no coconut flavour and were quite expensive for only 5 of them! The fish was fresh though! Miss- the main we ordered had no seasoning or flavour on the fish or fries and between the two of us we weren’t exactly “full”! Almost $100 later that wasn’t great value for us. Great service and speedy food however but just not worth the money!

Decided to treat myself to an up market restaurant one evening in hobart and was not disappointed.

Wide ranging but manageable menu (often restaurants with a lot of choice fail in quality - this did not)

Pleasant service and yes I would go again
