We had dinner here on Monday 28th October. It was very busy, we didn't book but there were a few tables available. I would suggest to book as it fill really quickly. I had a seafood mixed grill and it came out looking very impressive on a BBQ hot plate. The meal was very tasty, it came with a simple salad, chips and two dips. If there's something I would suggest improving, that would be the aioli dip. It was watery and tasted like it came from the bottle, which is quite disappointing as you expect a homemade aioli for the price. Seafood was very nice and tasty. I didn't think that this place is good value for money. Most meals are $35 and over and daily catch seafood is about the same. Most of it comes with chips and salad and for close to $40 per meal you tend to expect more. We walked out $140 poorer and you can get better than that for the money.

Having been rebuffed for a table on one evening (no tables until very late), we booked a table for the following night. The restaurant decoration is a bit over the top, but appropriate enough. The dining areas are rather cramped (its a real warren of a place, with low lighting so its difficult to get a sense of the extent of it), presumably reflecting the demand. The menu is largely variants on a fish and chip theme, but what we had was very well prepared and served, and we enjoyed the meal. The quantities are huge, so keep that in mind when ordering! Hobart isn't well served with restaurants, but this is certainly up to standard and to be recommended.

We hadn't booked so couldn't have a table but they found room for us at the bar - same menu. This is a fish restaurant and the fish and chips were yummy, albeit that the portions were too big (hardly a complaint). Jonathon, being non fish, had chicken which he said was good as well. This is a themed restaurant and could be considered over the top in the stuff around the place (or could be thought of as fun, depending on your point of view). The staff were very friendly and helpful even though they were rushed off their feet.

What a fun place to have our first meal in Hobart. Service was prompt and friendly, helpful too! It is a quirky place, but that adds to the holiday fun! Our meals were good, my husband loved his chocolate packed dessert!
