A group of us from the Hobart Embroiderers' Guild were invited to have a stitching day at Runnymede. It was so peacefull and lovely we sat and sewed and talked to the visitors who were wandering around this wonderfull building. I took a break and searched out all the fantastic pieces of history that is found in every room including some very good examples of embroidery techniques that we still endevour to perfect today. I could not resist the afternoon tea that was provided for a nominal cost. Just perfect!
