“Do visit this place.”

The windows in this Cathedral are really something.
You are able to buy a book for $2 that has every window of the church in it and it is in full colour.
Go outside the door at the right where the grand piano is and walk to the church office at the left and they have the window book and cards of the Cathedral.
All the windows are stained glass except for one and this is of The Nativity and it is leadlight.
As you walk inside turn around and look up and it really is a beautiful window.
There is a separate bell tower it has 21 bells the last 4 installed in 2006.
The ceiling is native blue gum and just so lovely.
Well worth a visit to look at this wonderful building

“Stitching with atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2014

Sitting in this beautiful space during the recent floral festival was an incredible experience! peaceful, beautiful and quite overhelming. This is a building full of history and beauty well worth visiting any time but especially when there is a special reason such as the festival or a concert. Brilliant way to recharge your self.

“Lovely cathedral”

St David's is well worth a visit to enjoy its interesting architecture. Impressive organ case - must try and hear it played some time. A combined charities gift shop operated in December and is worthy of strong support.

“Peace and restful oasis”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2014

A lovely and well presented church in the heart of Hobart. A great place to find and spend afew moments contemplating the beauty that is Hobart. Take a while and read the plaques on the walls, so much pain, but the women of Tasmania are remembered. As are the explores as well aas the service personnel.

“Monday night bells”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

Hang around on a Monday night and listen to the bell ringers practice. Step in during the day and retreat from the bustle of the world. A lovely old cathedral.
