This museum is brilliant. All the trains, buses, and fire trucks have been resorted to their former glory. There are a number of them which you can actually walk through. There is an old train that you can have a short ride on to re-live the comfort of rail travel. The double decker tram is a must to walk through. All the family enjoyed this museum and had us all going away wondering why trains are not used as much today as they used to be. All in all a very worth while museum to visit.

The kids enjoyed climbing on some trains . Lots on information and loved the fire truck stuff! Probably not fully suitable for toddlers

Volunteers are very inviting, willing to drop their tools while in the middle of a job to have a chat. Lots of different transportation displays, from the operational steam locos to the double decker tram and fire trucks. For a small organisation they are going really well and need all the support they can get. Pay them a visit, it is worth the small cost to pop in.

Was looking to fill in some time today as it was freezing and windy and we came across this neat little museum. The gentleman at the counter was super lovely and was happy to answer all our questions. There were trams, trolley buses, petrol buses and trains from throughout the 20th century. The highlight for me was the restored double decker tram - it clearly took a lot of TLC to get it back into shape. Well worth a visit - for $8 it's a bargain.

A good clean ,well laid out museum, with a good collection of Tasmanias public transport from years gone bye . For me personally I enjoyed seeing the TAA Bus, the Climax Loco and the AB track loco. All the other exhibits were great but these were my best finds. Thanks Brian Pine
