Lovely to travel in over just for the views. You can see Hobart and The Casino in Sandy Bay. Plus right out to the Iron Pot down the river.
Really lovely. Once again the scenery in Tasmania takes some beating as most things are so easy and close to get to but a car is essential

A lovely bridge, that can be well photographed from the botanic gardens and other high spots on that side of the river.

The picture is from an overlook to the bridge. The story of the bridge being hit, having a span fall, and several people killed is sad. But, it is an oft told story. The better story is to visit Hobart. Just a wonderful little town with nice folks...and a few Errol Flynn stories...for those of us old enough to remember him.

Other than that, it is a little very useful bridge that allowed Hobart to expand without the use of a ferry...until.

Go for a drive and visit the Tasman Bridge and Devils bridge. It is very impressive. Easy access and great views.

The Tasman Bridge is a five-lane bridge crossing the Derwent River, near the CBD of Hobart, Tasmania. The bridge has a total length (including approaches) of 1,395 metres (4,576 ft). It provides the main traffic route from the CBD (on the western shore) to the eastern shore. It has a pedestrian foot way on each side, but no dedicated lane for bicycles. However, steps to the pedestrian foot way have recently been replaced with on-ramps.
