Called in to grab a quick bite after a spot of shopping on a Saturday. Ordered a burger and charcuterie plate along with a couple of drinks. Read a magazine and took it easy. Nothing pretentious, just a cosy bar with a good range of drinks to chose from. Pleasant service. Will certainly head back at some stage.

This was undoubtedly the worst dining out experience I have had. At 6.30 on a Friday evening, they had "run out" of half the items on an already limited menu, and what was supposed to be porterhouse steak was more grizzle than meat. The promised salad accompaniments did not appear apart from a smear of chutney . The only redeeming feature was the fries but we went home hungry.

Wasn't a pleasant visit at all the food was shocking as well as the service, took more than 15 minutes to get menus 'keeping in mind we had to get them ' . Hoping the food would be better but unfortunately wasn't. After such good feedback I received I was really disappointed :/ maybe next time when the workers are a bit more awake I'll give it ago but for now I don't think so !!

Downstairs is warm and friendly, good music, good wine list. But - the food is served upstairs, in a rather soulless room, very little atmosphere. The porterhouse burger was really excellent - super tender meat, good brioche bun.....but....the chilli cheese fries were undercooked, and overpriced at $9. Needs a bit of smoothing round the edges - could be really good with a few tweaks.

We had a Friday lunch with beers and cider and the staff were excellent. The burgers were very tasty and had some good local beers. Highly recommended for a casual meal or drink
