Local friends recommended this cafe. It was a comfortable place to sit (inside) and have a good visit with them. Food was good but not particularly special. The location is very good though. Easy to find (next to Henry Jones Art Hotel) and a short stroll from Salamanca Market. About $100 for four for light meals and coffees.

The only real complaint was the service which was disappointing. Water should be provided without asking, and certainly shouldn't require three requests. Other items which were part of the meals ordered had to be requested.

We had breakfast and lunch here on separate days. 1st time we sat outside at the front as didn't realise there was a courtyard at the back - the lady on the till didn't tell us that! The owner was really friendly and nice when we met him later on. 2nd time we sat in the courtyard, which was really good

Although being in an amazing building in a prime spot in Hobart, the Timeless Way serves up the same boring, over priced breakfast and lunch fare seen all over Hobart and other tourist trap areas of Australia. The decor is bland and eating here makes you feel like you are about to be served lunch at a retirement village.

Terrible coffee.

I am writing this review because I am really disappointed in all of the restaurants in the Henry Jones area, I study and work near by and have to leave the area entirely for anything good or affordable.

Lift your game Timeless Way, don't just rely on tourists who don't know any better!

We were staying almost next door at Sullivan Cove Appartments so the location was perfect. Located in an old jam factory the place has atmosphere as you can see if you look around. The breakfast is great especially my favourite - Eggs Benedict. Friendly staff coupled with good service makes this a must for the first meal of the day. Will definitely revisit next time I'm in Hobart.
