“Cold food, unhealthy practices”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

We had a meal here April 2013. Entrees were good but several of the mains were cold. At the end of the meal we mentioned to the staff, and the manager came over and was a bit aggressive.

Also, the men's toilet was full of equipment and supplies and not usable, the remaining toilet was always occupied as one is not enough. We also noticed that the toilet was where they stored the table cloths. Totally inappropriate.

“Steak lovers delight”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

Although quite pricey, the food was excellent and the restaurant clean and welcoming. The steak I had was perfect and presentation mouthwatering! All 12 of us enjoyed our meal and were able to make a choice we could all savour!

“waste of time”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

Walk in, the place looks beautiful, so you expect good service and staff that can accommodate customer's needs. Two different waiters gave us different information about gluten free meals. Essentially, they refuse to offer gluten free options. One of the waiters was decidedly rude. They had completely sold out of several of their options, without removing them from the board or informing us of this when handing us our menus. Basically, the service was bad, and rude. We didn't even stay to try the food it was that bad. Not worth the time it wastes.

“Excellent dining experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

Well worth a visit! In the middle area of Salamanca Square (near the water fountain) so it is a lovely setting particular on a sunny day. Their food is amazing. We had the Tuna Tartar and Red Tasting Trio for starters followed by the Madison Steak cooked medium and Mushroom Risotto. Couldn't resist dessert especially the Chocolate Mousse which comes with ice cream, honeycomb and strawberries. The Banana Cigar is also worth a try. It is thin slices of banana wrapped in pastry and is served with marscapone cheese - mmm so good! Their wine list, beer selection and spirits list is more than exhaustive so should be something for everyone's taste buds. The dining available is inside and outside and is modern. The staff were friendly and professional.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2013

We went here for breakfast when our first choice cafe was full and other places looked a bit too busy - we wanted to be in and out fairly quickly. There was no one at Red Red.

Our waitress was new the job and very chirpy. Coffee was OK but our breakfasts (pancakes for me, bacon/eggs/toast for him) were a little reminiscent of airline food - very artificial-tasting and a bit odd-looking. They weren't very generous with the portions either (not that you'd want them to be, given the dubious quality)
