“Great place to stay”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

This hotel was a great place to stay. VERY comfortable bed with a beautiful room. My partner and I were really happy. The man at reception was also really friendly and helpful. He directed us to where we needed to be and drew a map for us. We only stayed one night, but I wish we stayed longer. The room had heating and an awesome bathroom. Great modern, stylish and convenient place to stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you are checking in after hours make sure you let them know while booking so they can give you in...

Lovely new hotel on waterfront (almost) in Salamanca Hobart. Within walking distance to markets, galleries, restaurants, piers and wharves including the MONA ferry terminal. Well appointed, nice decor, fluffy towels and great pillows etc. So good to have small kitchen, living area, laundry and separate bedroom. Only thing, reception not staffed after 6pm weekdays and 4pm weekends so need to arrive before those times.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good. Those that front Castray Esplanade have double glazing (it's not that no...

We stayed just one night in this wonderful hotel. Very modern and beautifully presented room, very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen suitable for a longer stay, close to Salamanca Markets so very convenient. Excellent bathroom. Highly recommended.

Great to finally stay in a hotel that doesn't charge ridiculous fees for wifi!! Slightly hard to find the check in desk at night, room was great - ultra comfy bed!! There is a gym right next door with $10 casual fee to get in which was great. Tip - don't try to order poached eggs on toast at the cafe, it's an upmarket healthy style cafe and they don't take standard requests very well! Overall, a great experience for business travel.

It doesn't have the roomy reception. It does have a lift. It doesn't have the 'outside bells and whistles' sign of other accommodation venues but it does have a room that is functional, windows that are double glazed and all mod -cons in the compact kitchen unit. The room we had for 3 days had a scandanavanian feel with a colour combination that hit the eye. The appliances were all modern and the plunge coffee supplies with speciality teas were most appreciated. I had the best sleep in the comfy bed and the closeness of a variety of good restaurant /take-aways enabled us to have a wonderful snug weekend away from the rat race.
The staff were accommodating and accepting of us having a day in bed without their intervention???? iT REALLY WAS A WONDERFUL HIDEAWAY..

Room Tip: Remember to take a room on the Castray Street side. A room on the Salamanca Place side may have a ve...

Excellent value, great location, perfect in every way. We booked for a night, and found the price very reasonable, so my expectations were not high. We got an upgrade to a one bedroom apartment. Excellent. The service at reception was excellent all the time, nothing was too much trouble. There is FREE WIFI - how globally mature!!! Reasonable size bedroom, closet small but well set up with hangers and ironing board. Enough space for two carryons on the luggage rack - so everything had its place. Lovely pillows and very comfortable queen bed, good quality sheets. Huge bathroom with laundry. Good towels and an excellent shower. Nice decor, with plenty of bench space. Light and bright with a good heater (important in Hobart). Separate lounge with kitchenette. Really stylish and well appointed. Didn't use it for one day and might not given the Castray Esp Cafe is on premise! You are around the corner from Salamanca Place and Salamanca Square and the piers so there is no end of restaurant choice. The location was excellent and quiet. A close walk to Battery Point and the City and the MONA ferry. I think a better location than Henry Jones and very chic to go with. Top choice.

I was impressed by several things in this new boutique apartment hotel right near Salamanca Place. The quality of the fittings and all the gadgets was top of the line - no expense spared. The bathroom was huge and well set up with a big bench next to the basis to set up your toiletries, not something to be taken for granted even in top hotels. Really, I have nothing to take issue with. Bed was comfy, living room was cosy and there were TVs in both rooms. It was well set up for both business and leisure. Top marks from me.
