“Characterful cottage in quiet garden setting”
Reviewed December 3, 2012 for a stay in November 2012

We wanted a change from Hobart CBD hotels without soul and did we find it! Booked for 2 nights and stayed for 3 so we could spend a day exploring the lovely coastal scenery as well as nip in and out of Hobart for business commitments. Sensed we had a found something special when we spied the fresh herbs in pots at the entrance door. The preserved peaches and homemade jams waiting for us in the fresh new kitchen was the next surprise along with eggs and locally cured bacon rashers. The quiet garden setting and nearby beach were great too. The owners live down the organic veggie garden path and judging by their generosity helping yourself to the odd apricot or juicy tomato might just be encouraged. Well equipped and comfortable this is the perfect bolt hole for some Tassie touring or relaxing after a day in the city or at MONA. Very good value.
