We only had a week. I've been to Tasmania many times. Lived in Hobart for two years. The market is splendid. We only stopped when we thought our legs would drop off. There is everything. Flowers, vegetables, books, leather, jewellery, skin care and that's not all - wonderful

Wasn't sure what to expect as we walked down to this market, but we were completely blown away. Had to have been close to a couple of hundred booths with almost zero cheap tacky stuff like you find everywhere else. Local foods, artisans, clothes makers it was a delight to the senses. We love markets and have visited dozens around the world and this goes down as one of the best, if you are there on a Saturday morning and don't go to this then you shouldn't be allowed to travel :)

We had heard very favorable reports on the market so we booked our flight to Hobart for Saturday morning and went from the airport direct to the market! we were not disappointed the market has a great atmosphere, a diverse range of stalls and is a great overview of Tassie produce, craft and people. I managed to pick up lots of those essential take home gifts at very reasonable prices. I hope to visit again one day, try not to miss it if you can. stalls include food, fresh produce of all kinds, Tassie wine for tasting, cheeses, craft, woodwork, the most amazing Lavendar stall, and lots and lots of others.

I am not a huge fan of markets and while this one does have some of that repetitive, junky stuff that all markets seem to have, it also has great fresh produce, some interesting local wood products and lots of variety with live music making it conducive to sit down and grab a bite to eat.

Loved it. Went with my husband and even he agreed that it was great. Such a range of different things and all at a decent price. Was good to see so many stalls and even though it was very busy, it was excellent. Highly recommend.
