This hotel is very nice and comfortable. The artwork along the walls is fun to look at. The room was spacious and had a great feel to it. Hotel is in a great location within walking distance of several museums and shops/markets. There is a nice restaurant for breakfast or dinner and a nice bar with music on certain days.

We wanted a really nice way to end our recent trip to Tassie and this was an amazing way to do it. I have been to the Atrium a few times but had never stayed at the hotel it is quite unassuming and blends in really well from the rustic charm of the area.
The service is second to none, we arrived early and our room was not ready but we were easily able to drop our car off for complimentary valet parking whilst we went and saw the famous Salamanca markets which were a shirt walk away.
When we arrived at the hotel our bags were already in our room and we were shown personally to our room by a staff member a really nice touch.
The rooms was great we were in Studio 2 and the bed was upstairs in a separate mezzanine with two separate heating systems and TV's.
The Milton brown toiletries were lovely as were the robes and complimentary slippers.
The only downside to the room was it was a Saturday night and we did have some overflow of noisy guests who were hanging out in the atrium very late at night but I am sure this can be avoided if you choose a room higher up.
All in all a really wonderful stay.

My partner and I have stayed here prior but this time I spent a lot more time at the hotel as I was an accompanying partner at his conference. The rooms here are wonderful. We had a spa room which we didn't get around to use but everything about this hotel is eye pleasing. The furnishings, the art, the staff and the service is outstanding. The appointments are simply stunning. We had free wifi and a huge TV with foxtel. The linen is crisp white and the pillows and comfort of the bed is luxurious. The breakfast was a continental but we added a hot breakfast option and it was yummy. Everything you would want. The Bircher muesli if lovely and the fruit plentiful. The also have a bar alongside reception but on both occasions you had to wait as it took a long time for staff to make the cocktails. Suggest opening up the atrium and getting the bar to flow over. They had musicians on both Friday and sat nights which added to the lovely atmosphere.
We will definately be back every time we visit Hobart! We love this place.

Have wanted to stay at the Henry Jones for a while now after hearing good comments about it. Boutique property located overlooking the wharf area. We upgraded our room to have a view of the water, the city and Mount Wellington. Room was spacious and well appointed though we did note signs of minor wear and tear on the furnishings which we wouldn't really have expected given the room rate. Nice comfortable king bed and huge bathroom. It's great to see how they've incorporated the heritage building with the contemporary hotel design. Service was great. We arrived very early and the staff were extremely accommodating in allowing us to check in.

I had wanted to stay at the Henry Jones for some time. The building is very interesting with a long history that can be appreciated by just walking through the hallways. The location is good, though there are better options if you want to be close to Salamanca place and the markets.

I have stayed at a number of hotels in Hobart; I thought the Henry Jones was going to be the best of these. However it was good, but not amazing. I paid a lot for the room ($350/night) and I don't think that either the room or the hotel is worth 20% more than its competitors that are close by.

Don't get me wrong the room was amazing, the perfect juxtaposition of modern versus historical. However I can get that same feeling just buying a $5 coffee in the onsite cafe whilst staying in a hotel offering better value for money up the road.

Just as a footnote; for some reason during the night there was a lot of noise coming from nearby the hotel. It sounded like a blend of road works and people unloading trucks at the wharf. I had asked at the reception the next day, but the gentlemen had no idea what I was speaking about. It was so bad that I needed to sleep with ear plugs. For this reason alone I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

We arrived at The Henry Jones Hotel with 30 minutes before we needed to be on the ferry to MONA. The team welcomed us warmly, offered to park our car, presented a map on where our ferry was departing and enquired as to our dinner plans! What a welcome! Immediately we loved hobart and The Henry Jones.
Our room was tidy and modern yet balanced well with the historical features such as the exposed brick and sleeper beams.
We enjoyed a drink or two at the hotel bar, would recommend a visit before heading out for dinner.
Perfect location, the hotel team always eager to assist and lovely lodging. Yes on the higher end of the pricing scale, but worth it.

Brilliant location. Loads of charm from the conversion of the old jam factory. Stylish and well appointed rooms, which are fairly quiet (depending on your neighbours keeping noise down). Comfy beds. Rooms could do with a set of drawers or more shelving.

The café in the atrium (Jam Packed) provides a good and cheaper alternative to a full hotel breakfast. The bar has a great vibe, with jazz performers.

Room Tip: We had room 109, which was large and quiet, although no bath or view of the harbour. However, for t...
