My wife and I went on a free self guided via map/brochure Battery Point Sculpture Tour. We located all the sculptures which had a brief background on the site. The sculptures are located from Salamanca Market, along the river shoreline, past impressive houses before finishing at Errol Flynn's childlood home.

We then decided to continue our walk to the Wrest Point Casino, where we played the pokies and enjoyed a drink in a bar that had a great view of the river. The entire walk to the casino took about one hour.

After a few beers I decided a taxi back to the Customs House Hotel was the best idea.

Accessed the area by walking up Kelly's Steps from Salamanca. Great for a stroll with some historic cottages and other buildings to see. In the evening, it felt like stepping through some history which is always enjoyable. Great photo opportunities, restaurants and architecture.

Take a stroll - you'll enjoy it

Great spot to come for a walk after overindulging in all that Salamanca has to offer. Lovely views and Georgian (and other) style architecture. Also a range of antique shops and cafe's to distract you along the way.

Lovely cottages and cafes to visit. Better to visit on foot due to limited parking/access and it's a nice relaxing stroll

I love this area of Hobart, old houses, little shops, quirky little streets. Great views over the water. Nice old pub.
