Quest Waterfront
Ranked #18 of 47 Hotels in Hobart

Great location but parking is hard, metered parking if Hobart wants to encourage tourism get rid of paid street parking.
The Quest Waterfront is in need of a facelift, kitchen facilities are out of the 1950's (except the microwave) and no diswasher. Washing machine and dryer across the hall you have to pay extra for the pleasure of washing your clothes. None of the windows can be opened and from Wednesday to Saturday nights it would be to noisy to have them open anyway. the plumbing is also noisy, shower over the bath. Stayed for two weeks and survived but not very comfortable. The only redeeming feature of this Quest is the staff who are great.
PS there is no restaurant could not remove the rating

Thank you for your feedback in regards to your stay at Quest Waterfront. We appreciate all feedback and we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at the property. We are in the process of completing soft refurbishments to the apartments and we will then look at replacing the kitchens etc. We do not claim to have in room laundries only a laundry onsite and kitchenettes not full kitchens so I am sorry if you were mislead in some way. I am glad to hear that the staff attended to your requirements, we strive to always provide quality customer service.

In Hobart this apartment is lcoated right in front of the water and around the corner from Salamanca Markets.

This apartment is quite small and compact but the convenient location outweighs the negatives.

Thank you for the feedback in regards to your stay with us. The Hotel rooms are not a large apartment as some of our other rooms are however they are perfect for somewhere to rest your head after a busy day of exploring all of the amazing attractions that surround our property. We hope that we will see you again in the future.

Visited in March this year and delighted with the large apartment. Very comfortable beds and the facilities offered were good. On the downside the views from the windows were not great, but as we were out and about for most of the time this was not too much of a problem The staff were fantastic and location couldn't have been better.

Hello Elizabeth M,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are happy that you enjoyed the comfort of our new mattresses and were able to make the most of our central location. With the MONA ferry terminal just across the road, Salamanca market and art galleries just 50m away and a wide variety of restaurants, bars and cafes to suit every taste, our location is a huge asset to our business.
As our hotel is so close to town and Salamanca, many of our rooms do have city views however if you're out all day, the view tends to be less important.
We are glad you thought so highly of our staff. We take pride in being professional, knowledgeable and most importantly friendly!
We look forward to welcoming you back to Quest Waterfront in the near future.
Warm regards,

The team of Quest Waterfront

We arrived after 9pm due to a delayed flight and Nick at Reception waited for us and was lovely. So too were the other staff on reception on the weekend. Our queen room was on the 1st floor not fronting the often mentioned pub across the road but it was very noisy with the screaming and yelling from the street after it closed. The room was large and clean but very stuffy so between noise and lack of air we did not sleep very well. It is in a great location

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback; feedback enables us to ensure that we are delivering the best customer experience possible. Despite the fact that our front office is manned until 9pm, we will always ensure there is someone to check you in if we know guests are going to be arriving after hours.
We are sorry that you were disturbed by the street noise below. The windows of our rooms are triple glazed however we understand that sometimes noise levels can still come through. In order to minimise street noise disturbances, we recommend requesting to be on a higher floor of the hotel. We are also currently working with the surrounding premises, the council and government to reduce the noise and the impact that is has on our guests.
Each room is fitted with an air vent that allows a steady flow of fresh air to run through the rooms. Sometimes this vent is closed off and if we know that a room is stuffy, often it just takes the flick of the air vent switch to change the situation. Please always contact us no matter what the time is and we will be able to assist with any issues that you are experiencing; we are always here to help.
We hope that you will stay with us again and we thank you for your feed back.
Kind Regards,

The team at Quest Waterfront

We have just spent 5 nights at Quest Waterfront that was booked for us by our travel agent as part of our 2 week honeymoon around Tassie. We're certainly not talking 5 star, but our room was big and bright. We were on the third floor and heard very little noise from outside our room.

Room was clean, and serviced daily if we wished. Staff on the front desk were very friendly and helpful, offering advice on restaurants etc, organized us a car park for the duration of our stay etc.

Rooms are simple, but more than sufficient, and great service.

All in all, very happy, thank you!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 31 and had no issues.

We would like to thank Nick at reception for his friendly service. However, I had requested and confirmed a room away from the pub across the road as I had read reviews about the noise. We were given a room directly across from the pub and the noise was unbearable, our 5 year old did not get to sleep until after midnight. Agreed, great location, rooms in desperate need of renovations, also agreed this property is overpriced. The shower in room 18 needs a good scrub. Warning you will need a degree in precision parking to get into the parking bays under the building, which suprisingly came at additional cost and the wifi did not work until the following day.

Thank you for the feedback in regards to your stay. We value all feedback and we have taken into account your concerns and we will be looking into them further. We are in the process of working with the surrounding establishments to ensure that noise is kept to a minimum and we have triple glazed the windows to ensure there is very little impact on our guests at night. We will always do our best to accommodate requests however sometimes this is not possible as was the case this time.
