“Cheap eat”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Open late (9:30pm - so, late for Hobart), and reasonably cheap eats in a nice area. Not the nicest place itself, but it's good asian food.

“Fun, friendly and buzzing...”

Since the last renovation this place has increased in popularity! Same great food and atmosphere, good choice, reasonable pricing. Every time I come to Hobart I try and lunch here with my partner. Good authentic Malaysian cuisine!

“Nice little restaurant”

Great value for money. Having said that, meals are a tad small so a very hungry person may need two.

“Superb Malaysian food”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

This place is right next door to Chickenfeed in the CBD. It's a tiny cafe like establishment which has been thoughtfully laid out to accommodate as many diners as possible. It's a cash only restaurant, cards are not accepted here for payment and orders are taken at the front counter and then brought out to your table.

First thing to say about this place is that this is probably the closest you will get to Malaysian Chinese food in Hobart. Lots of Malaysian Chinese students patronize this place and for good reason. The char kway teow here is superb and the beef redang is delicious. My only gripe is that we once ordered bat kut teh and it was ice cold and should have been piping hot.

Service can also be very slow as there is only one chef and car parking on the street is limited.
