Our one night stay was very comfortable in our huge apartment. A glorious king sized bed, modern facilities and great location will definitely draw us back to Salamanca Inn on our next visit to Hobart. Oh, and the staff were wonderful at reception and at the restaurant.

Great location, lovely staff, very clean. Free laundry that even has free detergent. We have stayed in Hobart a number of times over the last few years and this is by far our favorite place so far and the first I would try to book for our next visit.

Great place to stay, well equipped apartment style hotel room. Booked the night before via short notice booking website. Comfy couch, big TV. Excellent quality room service (was very delicious, what a surprise, and I am a foodie). A+ location, our deal got free parking, would recommend for short stays in Hobart.

We needed a place to stay in the city at short notice and secured a queen suite for a reasonable price, from the seamless check in process with an absolutely lovely receptionist that appeared willing to assist with any request the whole stay, including a fabulous meal with very fresh and tasty seafood, not to mention a great piece of rib eye, it was a very nice experience. So close to Salamanca and all that area has to offer. Highly recommended, will stay here again for sure.

Overall it was a great location, but given the incredible price I would have thought they may have added some nicer finishing touches. Felt dated and everything felt cheap, from the washing liquid to the handsoap. We were disappointed after spending half the price in Launceston and staying in the most amazing apartment.
Service people were lovely and available and everything was clean.
Bed seemed old to us and not the most comfortable. Living area a good size.
It was fine and nice, but just expected so much more given the price.

Fantastic location, especially for the Saturday markets and variety of restaurants! My husband and I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with our sons (18 and 20) on the 3rd floor but unfortunately it only had one bathroom which was upstairs next to the main bedroom and with the four of us, we sometimes had to "queue up". Though my eldest son discovered there were toilet facilities one floor up next to the swimming pool which he could access in a hurry via the stairs! There are laundry facilities on both the 1st and 2nd floor but not the 3rd floor, so I spent one afternoon going up and down in the lift doing a few loads of washing and drying. Not that it was a bother for me, though it would have been nice to have these facilities in our room. Food wise, there are plenty of choices of restaurants within a few minutes walk - we very much enjoyed the Irish pub on the corner as well as the Italian restaurant on the main street. There are also more cafes/restaurants in the Square (great yum cha) and also down at the harbour (good coffee) - all a very short stroll from the hotel. We dined in the hotel restaurant on our last night and thoroughly enjoyed. I could easily have stayed another few nights in this hotel as the location was just perfect. The car park is great - we always has a spot when we returned each afternoon and the doors from the car park lead straight into foyer right alongside the lifts which is great when you have lots of luggage. Gladstone Street is quite steep but the front entrance is only 60 paces down to the Irish Pub - though probably a few when returning (depending on the number of beverages consumed!) I especially loved wandering around and taking photos around Battery Point which is also only a short stroll from the Hotel, I would definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Hobart.

Room Tip: Floors 1 & 2 only have laundry facilities.

Walking distance to all Hobart has to offer and so spacious (bigger than many residential apartments). Our apartment was on the other side of the road and came with a warning that it had not been renovated but just updated.
It was two bedrooms two bathrooms (1 spa bath) & huge living area with full kitchen and balcony. We only stayed two nights and I cooked breakfast and dinner but we also wandered along the wharf for 1 dinner and the market.
There is a gym (extra cost) and indoor heated pool.
Staff very friendly and free car parking. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
