Great location. Nice room. Clean. Good service.

No complaints except poor TV.

We had a great rate for this place for 4 adults. Main issue for me was a dirty bathroom floor. By the time I found the hairs etc on the floor, another party member was already using the shower in the 2nd bathroom so I didn't complain or ask to be moved as it was too late but there is no possible excuse for that.

Also, bedroom was stuffy and hot (no window and 2 single beds for the others in our party were right outside the door) Fan left on all night but still too hot. (This was the coldest April 3 days in 50 years!)

The Premier apartment was a great place to stay – right in the centre of the harbour area, surrounded by galleries, great places to eat and Salamanca Place close by. Parking is a minor hassle but there are assigned parking bays to the left of the pier. The apartment was modern, spacious and airy with a great view over the harbour. As others have noted, the king bed is actually two king singles joined together, a bit firm but still a great night’s sleep. Big bathroom, large living area, professional friendly staff to look after you and a room service breakfast is on offer. We wish that we could have stayed longer, and will definitely book here again – highly recommended.

We stayed in a two-bed apartment advertised for familes. The second bedroom is a mezzanine room, right outside the main bedroom and has no walls or doors. Not suitable for two couples. The main bedroom has a bathroom and there is a bathroom on the ground level.

The kitchenette has everything you could need and the location is superb. You are literally on the waterfront, walking distance to Salamanca, Battery point and the CBD.

Parking is available at the front of the pier, but this fills quickly.

Restaurants and bars on the ground floor and cheap fish and chips from the pier 50 metres from the apartments.

We had a couple days in Hobart and wanted to stay in the waterfront area. We booked a room with a balcony over looking the harbor. It was a beautiful view and everything was at your finger tips. We had a car, which the parking was free, but we never took the car out. Since the hotel/apartment had a kitchen, we walked to buy food and drinks. The balcony was on the second floor of the building and the first floor was restaurants, which were quite busy. If you do not like restaurant noise, this would not be a place for you to stay. We enjoyed the view and the relaxation of the place. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in giving us information about the area. Best place place for local fresh fish & oysters is Mures on the waterfront. We still think about the wonderful lunch we had there. We had so much fun and enjoyed the Somerset on the Pier very much we look forward to returning to Hobart.

Just the fact we stayed on the water was fantastic. But the location too was brilliant. I would definitely stay here again.

We had the family room right at the end of the pier, it was very well appointed and very clean, but a bit cluttered by the stairway and furnture.

You know, sometimes you are in a room and the way house keeping arrange the furniture does not make sense. For example the dining and chairs, block the view of the harbour and even the TV. If anything, this apartment has too much furniture.

Very well located right on the apex of the city and Salamanca. Beautiful views over the harbour, whichever side you get. Even closer to everything than it looked on the map.

The only thing I would suggest is to request a room away from the street end of the pier. The first time we stayed there we were right up the street end and there is a door which guests use to exit the building there. It was a Saturday night and the door was slamming shut for most of the night. The second time we stayed there we requested to be away from that end and it was much quieter.

Great selection of dvds for free hire as well.
