The Hotel Staff were amazing from the first moment we entered, restaurant and bar staff equally good.
The location is perfect. Right across from the harbour and walking distance to everything (we like a good walk though). The rooms were well appointed, warm (it was minus 2 overnight on one of the nights we stayed!) We'll be back again.

Genuinely excellent choice of hotel. Excellent facilities including heated indoor pool and pillow menu! The stay was not cheap though, and associated restaurants also expensive (but I suppose, Hobart IS expensive)! No lift from the underground carpark but bellboys on hand to assist (it just wasn't communicated to us during check-in when we could've left our luggage up the top of the driveway). Literally everything you could need in a great location. We had a stunning view of the docks and harbour from our room. Great water pressure. Wonderful experience.
We found the Grand Chancellor a luxurious establishment in the perfect location near restaurants, sights and exhibits. Salamanca markets and the museums were at our doorstep along with great seafood takeaway and restaurants.
We absolutely loved our stay. The views are breathtaking. Location is perfect and close to the Wharf, shops, markets, breweries and museums. The service was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The cleanliness of the hotel was superb. There was even a pilow menu! It was the most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever had. We would definitely be back and would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
