Owner description: Step inside Australia's oldest operating brewery, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Wellington, to learn how Cascade has been crafting beer since 1832. Our guides will share Cascade's fabled recipe; a dash of history, a healthy dose of Tasmania's finest ingredients and a generous serve of brewing craft. You can take a tour or just relax and enjoy Cascade beers and Mercury ciders, savour a delicious lunch and wander our three acres of heritage gardens. The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week between 10am - 5pm, excluding Good Friday and Christmas day and tours operate daily.

Very informative tour, ability to taste a variety of beers and ciders, lovely gardens to walk and relax in, tour lunch for $15 each great value and great food. Not a lot of parking though but well worth the visit/tour

The tour of Cascade Brewery is great! The tour lasts about 90 minutes and you get to learn so much about how beer is made. After the tour, you get free samples of the beer. The restaurant and bar are located in a beautiful area!

Enjoyed out tour, try and do on a weekday as it clearly states it is only a Monday to Friday operation. $25 per person goes for 1 hr 15 mins and then 3 7oz samples of choice at the end. Tour guide Lee was entertaining and informative. Lovely old building in beautiful surrounds.

My husband and I went on the brewery tour on a Sunday thinking it was a 24/7 day operation. Because of OH&S requirements, we had to don on the high viz vests, helmets and glasses, ridiculous really as absolutely nothing was working. All we saw were the vats and the bottling area.
The guide was knowledgeable but shabbily dressed, his T shirt with company logo on it had holes in the front, not a good impression, I felt like telling him to get a new shirt!
The lunch we purchased was very tasty but overpriced, we should have paid a reduced price since we had already paid for the tour.

Thank Herma L
