So loved our visit to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. What a special place. Got to see exactly what I was hoping for Tasmanian Devil, Wombat, Koala, kangaroos and some beuatiful birds. Great information given in tour. What a fantastic facility and to see how the staff care for the animals.

We took 2 overseas visitors to Bonorong. We were a bit disappointed that the advertised discount on RACT website no longer applies (that should be updated!). The entry is $30 per adult and $16 per child which is not cheap. Whilst we appreciate they have to raise funds, this is a steep price. We enjoyed the devils and the wombats. The talk was great and very informative. We paid $25 per person extra to do a wombat encounter. Millie the wombat was very sweet and had a big personality. She enjoyed our pats and we got to feed her carrots. We would go back but would tell people we recommended it to, that the fee is high to enter.

Thank you for visiting wombatdavid!

We are so glad you enjoyed your visit and were able to see our resident devils and cheeky wombats!

As we don't receive any Government funding all the entry fees go directly to running our Sanctuary, wildlife hospital and 24 hour rescue service. So thank you so much for your support!

We have looked into the RACT discount and this has now been updated on their website, we apologise for any confusion.

We hope to see you again in the future!

Relaxed atmosphere, plenty of animal activity, knowledgeable staff. A great place to see wombats and devils and feed wallabies and kangaroos.

We are a bit disappointed by the 45mins keeper talk, as we have been to many other sanctuary and zoo in Tasmania, we learnt new things every time. However, I feel like the keeper is distracted and the talk was less than 30mins. I was expecting may be what kind of work bonorong is doing to help fighting the facial tumour disease of the devil, maybe more on their diet, how do you keep the enclosure like their natural habitat etc. But only little information is given on only wombats and devils. Not much on koala apart from they came to the bonorong before it was a sanctuary. Maybe I was expecting too much but it is bonorong we are talking about, I thought it should set a higher standard? If they could include quoll and other animal in the talk it would be great. I think they did wonderful job saving the animal and helping them, but it would be great if they could have a more informative talk.

We're sorry that the tour didn't meet your expectations when you visited 988avisc. Our days can be extremely busy with animals coming through the rescue service, which means that occasionally staff members may be a little distracted or need to shorten tours (we have had many endangered species through the rescue service in the last week alone!). We're very proud of our tours and we certainly don't hear negative feedback very often, but we'll certainly look into it. Thanks for the feedback!
