What a great stay my partner and I had over the weekend at the manor. We booked through a mystery deal and what a great surprise. An elegant staircase leading up to our huge room, number 1. Very very clean, and so well furnished in a historical theme. Beautiful semi city view of the park and water. Great water pressure in the shower, with only a slight wait to get the hot water up to our room (which was adequately signed). Comfortable 2 poster bed, and pleasantly surprised that our room was serviced upon returning after out morning out. Slightly creaky floors when walking in older hallway, but only as I was concerned about disturbing others. No noises from other guests for us in number 1 on the end.
Can happily recommend this place for something so different from a typical hotel room. Thank you so much Macquarie Manor!

Stayed here twice over a 3 week period, whilst on a holiday. Both stays were for two nights and it was amazing. We got the hotel booking on wot if heritage mystery deal $80-90 per night. The rooms were worth more then this, as they are beautifully furnished, rooms are massive all with high ceilings and have a very homely feeling making them very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
It is in a great location less then a five min walk to salamanca and the CBD shopping precinct at your door.
When u stay here i recommend the shamrock hotel on Liverpool street for dinner or lunch. It is cheap, with good local tassie pub food and had a massive variety of food, but is a popular local so get in early!!!!!!

WOTIF mystery deal. Couldnt believe my luck for 80 shekels! Work travel so no need for parking and the manager was on hand to let me in. Lovely room nicely renovated and a great brekky for only $15. Had a good chinwag with the manager over a cuppa next morning. Lovely fella and a gret property. Wil be back.

We had a lovely time at this charming little place - we got a mystery deal through Wotif. The rooms were quite spacious, the bed flat and comfortable, however our bedsheets did have a few old stains. The bathroom was excellent with a beautiful monsoonal type shower. The location was perfect, being only a 5 min walk to Salamanca, the MONA ferry and other Hobart attractions. At night if your neighbors were loud there was not much in the way of insulation to prevent the noise. There was free car-parking available out the back (which was limited to around 8 spots). But being the middle of winter that was not an issue. The reception seemed to always be empty. Overall a pleasant but average stay.

Good deal from Wotif, one of their "mystery hotels", so it was around $100 for two for the night. Heritage building with huge rooms. The reception is not always open and the parking is limited, being tandem - but the staff will help with this, although we found it easier to walk to places while in town. Comfy beds and convenience to Salamanca made the stay desirable for a Hobart overnight or two.

We stayed here last weekend and thoroughly loved the Manor. Our room was on the front of the building and due to the double glazed windows it was very quiet. The room was very large and with a great work desk and plenty of room to spread out. The bathroom was great although the shower cubicle was cosy.. The car parking arrangements during the week didn’t prove a problem even though they are tandem parks but it is easier to park on the street for free during the weekend. Would definitely stay here again if in Hobart and would highly recommend also due to its location in town.

We got the wotif deal so paid about $50 each a night for it which was great! Don't think we'd pay full rates though as the service is slow and reception is rarely open and it is very loud at night. We were in room one and the when our neighbours used their shower at 6am it was very loud and woke us up as the walls are insanely thin. Although it is in a great place right near Salamanca and the rooms are adequate (although always wash the glasses before using them because they just kept putting our dirty ones back in the cupboard) free parking and the staff are lovely.
