We had spotted Preachers on a previous evening trip to Hobart, but weren't able to visit that time. We noticed it had a good crowd of people and what seemed to be a really buzzing atmosphere. We were able to go there for lunch one very hot January day. It is a pretty unassuming looking place, which we like, the range of boutique beers is very good and the service was so friendly and helpful. We had to sit outside, not only because of the heat, but also because we had our dog with us, and we must have had three staff members ask if the dog had had some water. We love our boutique beers, and the guy behind the bar introduced us to Stone & Wood, which was absolutely delicious and perfect on a hot day. We also had some tapas, which were extremely good value at $10 a plate and the calamari and tempura mushrooms were done to perfection. This is definitely going to be one of our regular Hobart haunts from now on.
