Very interesting tour thanks to efforts of our guide. This site has a very interesting history and its development over the years is well covered. It is a pity the Government of the 1960's destroyed 90% of the adjoining buildings. Be aware the tour covers the gallows where approx. 34 people were hung.

Thank Stephen G

This Chapel tour was a surprise to me. Having visited Hobart several times I had never heard of it. The tour looks at the full penal history of the site with a highly informed guide, exploring the buildings that remain today. Enthralling from start to finish.

Visited the site while on a holiday with my wife. The tour site was small however there is so much to see. The fee is relatively low and the tour guide was very knowledgable about the history.
We loved seeing all of the original areas of the chapel and cells.

Absolutely loved the tour and would highly recommend it to visitors and locals who have never been there.

This is, quite simply, a hidden gem. So many locals have not visited, and they should! Visitors too will learn so much from an inexpensive tour here. I had been on the tours a few times over the years, but my latest visit added a lot to those previous visits. The short introductory talk was new for me, and added to the experience. This site has so much to offer it takes considerable effort to absorb it all - so much great information, so many wonderful artefacts. Our guide brought it alive for us, and we learnt so much about this side of Hobart's history. I recommend this tour without hesitation. Fascinating!
