“Maritime 'museum'”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

the museum is too small to even called a museum. Provided needed to pay 10 bucks for entrance, i definitely won't recommend this. Instead, spent that money with a coffee and some snacks at the waterfront will do for me.

“Interesting and well presented”

Interesting displays covering everything nautical in Tasmania from the pre-European to the sailing ships, fishing and modern Navy - and everything in between!
Very enjoyable visit.

“Unknown gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

I recently visited the martine museum and found the places overwhelming with infomation about our past history that I knew nothing about. It is a real shame that this place is not been given enough support by the tourism burau. It is gem worth having look at. There are so many little places in ther city not known about. Always ask ther locals about old places to go and look at and look around for other brouchurs foe little known historical places.Do not ask the useless tourism buera .
