“High Times in Hobart with Heather”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

We were 7 visitors to Hobart and booked Heather for a private guided tour of the city and surrounding areas. We also asked her to supply a picnic lunch which we could eat en route. Absolutely NO complaints. Heather arrived exactly on time in her clean minivan and drove us about Hobart and surrounding areas giving excellent commentary along the way and finally delivering us to the airport in time for a flight home to Sydney. We ate her picnic lunch in the Botanic Gardens and were delighted to be shown about by a local who is justifiably proud of her city.

“This is the way to do the Wineries!”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

The four of us had a great day out thanks to Tasmania Day Tours. Its so nice to be able to sit back and let someone else do the navigating and the driving....and they know how to do that in a very professional manner. Our everything guide was Sue. On time we set of to do Wineries, a cheese store and lunch in Richmond. We had a leisurely day even though we covered a lot of ground. Sue was great. Not only was our everything guide phoning ahead to ensure the winery was open, whilst plotting the best route and ensuring we ended up at the best winery to enjoy a view, the delicious cheese and biscuits we bought, over a glass of amazing Tassie wine, but she also supplied the chess knife and board! We noticed tea and coffee facilities in the van but Sue realised it was wasted on us wine tasters, but the water bottles were most welcome. No one had to worry about driving because of course we could have hired a car but honestly why, when someone else can take all the stress out of the day and get you the equivalent of VIP access with the local wine makers and feed you all the history and local knowledge you can soak up. Highly recommend you discuss your plans with Heather at Tasmania Tour.

“Hobart with Heather”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

After I boarded the Radiance of the Seas a note was posted asking if anyone wanted to fill out the van that was reserved for a Hobart tour. I connected with the party that had been arranged before our ship left the origination port. I was shown the tour plans that Heather had suggested which was pretty much the same as two excursions offered by the ship but less $ and more time spent. That, plus the fact that we were only 9 passengers made the whole day pretty easy. We docked earlier than planned but Heather had been called and was there when we got off. I was so impressed with her knowledge of the island, it's history, it's people, it's parks, etc. She even made a special stop on the road when I expressed an interest in the bee hives and asked what the source of the honey was. A road side stand caught her eye and with a quick stop the home owner delivered a jar of delicious honey from Tasmanian Leatherwood flower! She got us to two stops that were on the ship's tours but we were ahead of the buses so didn't have the usual crowds to contend with seeing the koalas and kangaroos (love the joeys getting their free rides).Bottom line...I'm saving Heather's card for when I return with my travel buddies! I'd give her 10 stars if that was an option!!

“Wow, what a fantastic tour”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

We started out in one of the national parks to see the waterfalls and animals in their natural habitat, then went to the Boolongra Reserve (sp??) where we got up close to a koala and fed the kangaroos (spouse got some wonderful pictures of joeys)(everyone on the tour was glad to wash their hands at the end of this portion), toured several towns, taken to a bakery to get a snack (yummy) and ended up touring Hobart in the rain. Tour guide was fantastic and made sure we saw everything we wanted to see. The bus was very comfortable and the pace perfect. I would highly recommend this company to have an excellent tour of Tasmania. It would have been nice to have a longer stay in Tasmania and see more but alas the ship was there for only a short time. We got enough of a taste that when we go back to Australia, we will go back to Tasmania to see more.

“Excellent....will recommedn you all!!!”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

It was our 1st trip to Tasmania and we now feel that our decision of choosing “Show you Tasmania” as our tour operator could not be any better.
When we booked our trip over phone, it was so comfortable to talk to our trip organizer Heather Henri and moreover, Heather ensured that our trip would be confirmed in spite of Easter being a busy period.
We had Heather during our trip to Cradle Mountain & Freycinet. Though it was a 12 hour journey to & fro, we never felt the trip to be long as Heather was so great to talk to and we had a gala time both the days of our journey. She has excellent driving skill & was sharing interesting information during our whole journey. She was very punctual & had a good planning skill so none of our breaks/snacks/meals were missed.
Every suggestion she had given, was very helpful & I must say she was very knowledgeable about Tasmania & after those two days, we have decided to give another visit to Tasmania & then we will definitely book Heather for our trips.
