Went here recently for our wedding anniversary. Had a lovely meal and the service was very attentive. We pigged out had the tasting plate & oysters - both were lovely. Mains were also great with very generous servings. The outlook is lovely, especially at night. I saw someone at another table send back their steak, there was no fuss about it and she got a champagne while she waited for the replacement - very nice to see.

We visited this lovely restaurant at night and were teased with a night view of the Tasman Bridge and surrounding area and can imagine how amazing it would be in the daylight. Excellent fresh food with good sized portions, great presentation also. My husband had a steak and it was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. The service was also excellent, very friendly and efficient, would highly recommend this lovely place to anyone visiting Hobart

This restaurant is in a great location with views over the sheltered bay to the Tasman bridge.
The staff are very friendly, sincere and efficient.
Our food was excellent and generous proportions.
We had the seafood chowder which was superb.
The ling was as nice a fish as I have tasted
Perhaps a few more beers on the list would be a good idea.
Prices were very reasonable.
A lovely experience all round.
Would be a fantastic location for a function.

We had a friend from Sydney visiting and we wanted somewhere nice to take him to lunch. We were not disappointed. Many years ago we visited this restaurant and were not altogether impressed but this time it was great. The menu and view were wonderful. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was just right in time and professionalism. Would highly recommend anyone wanting a good meal in a reasonable length of time.

We went for a Saturday evening meal, with our son and his partner. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and the experience. The waitress was bubbly and had a sense of humour. We were taken to our corner window seats and quickly were presented with the menus.
We chose the seafood tasting plate for four. This was for me the highlight of the meal. The good size portion of huon salmon was delightful, the squid thin and crisp, both with good accompany sauces. The best though was the creamy smooth chowder, filled with perfectly cooked seafood. When return i'll have that as my entree!
For mains we had the duck breast, chicken and lamb. My son thoroughly enjoyed the duck, cooked perfectly. The lamb was also enjoyed by our partners. My chicken was full of flavour but the chicken which was smoked then fried? roasted? was too dry. The taste was fine but it was little on the dry and over cooked side.
We had a turkish sundae - for those who love very sweet desserts and a chocolate toffee with frangelico. Very strong flavours.
We enjoyed two bottles of wines a lovely pages Creek sb and a merlot. Both reasonable value, under 40$ Overall, it is priced very fairly for the level of cookig you get. Also thought the Mercury's review on the 13th of April was pretty much spot on. We will return and have lunch when the tide is in.
