Very clean, and new hotel.

Had no real noise issues and we were located on the Bike Pub side - Only noise was from the loudspeaker in the carpark.

Parking is a bit of a pain, its in an adjoining multi story car park, and I think is costly if you take your car in and out.

Reception was friendly and helpful. Did not eat in the downstairs restaurant as there are so many wonderful places down in Salamanca.

Only gripes are that the shower cap was tiny and did not even fit on my head, and was not replaced during our stay - I threw it out after the first night. And there was a lot a human hair in the bathroom - on walls and ceiling.... which makes me think they clean the walls and ceiling with the mop used for the floor.

An inexpensive short stay hotel for those on a budget. My partner and I stayed one night as well visited MONA and Hobart for the first time. Has a cheap business hotel or a mid range motel feel about it. Reception, lifts and rooms are pretty cramped, but it's very convenient, only a short walk away from the harbour and street parking was plentiful. No real complaints given the low price.

We stayed as part of a bed and breakfast package. The room was great - city views, level 7, nice and clean with tasteful decor. The cafe does a great breakfast and the staff in the cafe are super friendly! The hotel is perfectly located for walking around Hobart town centre.

Only issue is parking. Collins use the public parking tower behind the building. Locationally this is fine, but we were under the impression that our parking was included in our stay, but we were still charged on exit. Oh we'll. Minor issue only.

This place has got to be the best value for money hotel I have stayed in. The service was impeccable, friendly, and accompanied with smiles, while the rooms were ultra modern and very comfortable. I had a great sleep every night, and always looked forward to coming back to the hotel room after a long day out to relax on the soft bed, drink a cup of tea, and watch a film on tv. The breakfast was very nice, however I did not dine there, although I am sure it is very nice. A highly recommended hotel in Hobart at great value.

Hotel Collins is conveniently situated a few minutes walk from the waterfront precinct and Salamanca Markets in central Hobart. It's modern, with a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Continental brekkie was included in the price.
Some of the rooms (higher up) have views of the city or Mt Wellington. The spaces are quirky, with interesting angles, as the building is in the round. You can have normal hitel rooms or apartment style, with a kitchen.
If you have a car, there's parking arranged around the corner, but be careful you don't get jammed in on the Early Bird parking floors where parking is in double layers. We were lucky and weren't hemmed in but nobody mentioned this.
A good spot to stay in Hobart.

Room Tip: Higher up will get you better views and ask for a view of Mt Wellington.
