Remember to go up there on a sunny day to take in the view and avoid the acrtic-like winds. During summer it's a lovely scenic drive and the view is spectacular. During the snowy season there's plenty of room to find snow and ice to play with. But do avoid going up there in the rain, if it's very cold or there's a lot of cloud. Like all mountains, the summit can be MUCH colder than on the ground and be subject to extreme weather changes, so always bring a coat, just in case.
There are plenty of picnic spots, walking tracks, BBQ areas, huts and look outs. And warm public toilets on the summit!
Best to go up on a sunny day in summer or winter.
