“Stunning lookouts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2013 via mobile

Pirates bay look out is a great 5min stop for a few photos. If you're heading to port Arthur, a small detour through 'Doo town' is recommended. Also nearby a some great sea formations with remarkable lookouts, including the Tasman arch, Devils kitchen and the blowhole. Well worth a visit!

“Incredible. Tasmania's secret”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2013

We stumbled across this incredible place when we were driving to Port Arthur. Not a lot of signage, but a small sign with "blowhole" drew our attention, so we turned off to find it. We were so happy we did. This place is awesome. It begins with a quaint little village called "Doo Town" where the majority of the houses have their own names such as "Doo Drop Inn", "Doogy Doo", "Doo Me", "Just Doo It", and so forth. After we were entertained by the names, we drove around and found places like Devil's Kitchen, Blowhole and Tasman Arch. These natural structures formed by the sea crashing on the cliffs would give the 12 Apostles and the other Great Ocean Road sights a good run for their money. This place is well worth the drive.
