Visited here in a group of 12. Food was very well presented and delicious. When full it is quite noisy, but it had a good vibe. staff were very attentive, and patient. We went in the evening, however situated on the Torrens River I am sure it would be just beautiful during the day.

"Beautiful View, food was ok. The bread is not free!!! Charged $1.90 per person, and was given two slices in chiabatta cut in half... Cafe Primo gives you free bread. The scallops were overcooked and overseasoned. The scotch was not the best quality and difficult to cut. The chicken was fig stuffed??? but you could not see or taste the fig. The waitress had no idea about the menu, we saw a dessert special, but she said there wasn't one, we both though there was a sticky date... we were right, it was on the specials menu... Does the chef not go through the specials with the staff before service!!!! We were given free muscat for the fig less chicken, but if the staff were better informed, you would of gotten our money for dessert too

Went there for a celebratory dinner with family. Food was good but the service less so- it was patchy and rather confused at times.
Some (but not all) of the drinks took just too long to arrive and table water was not replenished often enough- even when requested.
At the end of the meal, we ordered desserts, cheese and coffee.
The coffee came first and we had well finished it before the cheese and desserts arrived - which left us without a drink as we didnt want to be ordering new drinks after coffee.

On two prior occasions, we've enjoyed excellent beef etc.
This time, I chose a "Young Goat" targine. Wild goats are killed as pests to the North, so it seemed a reasonable choice. It was an insult. In the mush, there were bits of bone, most animal parts were tough gristle or fascia, one tendon very evident, and one slice of brown edible meat.
It was an extraordinary offering in a "classy" restaurant.
I complained politely and just got an apology. I foolishly paid up when I left.

I have never complained about a restaurant meal before: this was unacceptable and the weak response added insult to injury.

My partner and i had our anniversary dinner here, as first time visitors to the renamed cafe, i had high expectations. We had two lovely female waitresses that were lovely and another older male waiter, that was not overly warm or friendly, which did cast a slight shadow on the experience. We had a lovely seat, and the food was nice. Was slightly disappointed when our wine glasses weren't left empty for 20 mins, and nearly opted for refilling our glasses with the half full bottle of wine ourselves (which i wouldn't mind doing in a lower classed restaurant / cafe or hotel). This meant that we rushed down the last glass and a half each due to the meal finishing. Overall for the price we paid, the experience wasn't as i hoped it would be, but ok, the view and the food were lovely, just the service and price, not aligned.
