Having been in Adelaide almost a year and trying a number of places around Rigoni's on Leigh Street we thought it time to take a look. A lot of people we know had been and not one had a bad thing to say about the place.
We decided to go for the last night of family visiting from the UK and were not disappointed.
On arrival we were quickly shown our reserved table, something that I encourage you to do as it is always busy. The waiter was extremely friendly and bouncing when her read with enthusiasm the specials they had on that night. The waiters seemed to have an intense knowledge of the menu which I liked.
To start we just shared olives and ciabatta which was served warm with a light pesto dip. Then out of the party of 4 we all had different mains all of which when tried were as good as each other. I had a Pumpkin Gnocchi and MM a Tomato and Chorizo Risotto. Half way through each we swapped and shared the beautiful Italian Food. Only two of us had dessert - a Chocolate Pana cotta and Affogato, both which were sweet and tasty.
Overall it was a very good experience and probably one of the more fine dining places available in Adelaide due to its excellent service and great menu. Would we go back, yes but probably more as a place to go for significant meals as it can be a little pricey.
