I reckon I've eaten at every Thai restaurant in Adelaide 2 or 3 times minimum unless the first visit was really bad. In reality I don't think Adelaide has a good thai restaurant, I can think of 6 restaurants in Sydney's "Thainatown" area that just kills anything here, sadly.
But back to Amarin, have been there 3 times in past 12 months - the food is basic but really fresh, and full of great flavours. If you don't specifically request hot or chillie, all of the dishes are quite mild so you can take anyone there and there should be no complaints.
The delivery of the dishes is unusual (almost like being in Thailand). There seems to be no specific order, you might get steamed rice 5 minutes before any mains, which can quite often be spaced out over an hour. But you just have to chill and go with the flow. If you are a stress head this may not be the restaurant for you.
