“Reliable Thai at a good price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

The fact that this place is usually packed is because its a bit cramped, and because it always seems to be full of people. Has the usual Thai options, and the service is generally friendly if not particularly expert about the food. Great place for a cheapish mid week nosh up with the family. Best to book if you want to be sure of getting a table.

“Glad to have tried.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

I was tentative about this place at first, but glad my aunt took us here. The salt and pepper bean curd was delicious - never had anything like it. I really want to go back just to eat that! My boyfriend liked everything he had, as did the rest of us. There were some mild confusions with drink orders but forgiven. Food came out very, very fast. Maybe a little too fast. But was nice in the end so looking to go back.

“Average Tucker”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

The restaurant was crowded on a Wednesday night & we had to wait for a table. The waitress who came to take our order was impatient & disinterested in explaining the menu items. Besides the Green Chicken Curry, everything else was substandard in that we have had much better Thai food elsewhere. The pork in the Stir Fried Pork & Basil was tough & sinewy, the barramundi dish was salty, & the Green Papaya Salad was substituted with grated carrots - what a rip off!

The rice served in the aluminium rice pot was cold & we had to go to the kitchen door for the rice to be replenished. Desserts were another rip off - ice creams accompanied by fruits were $11.50 per serve!! The only Thai dessert offered was something with glutinous rice.

There are lots of other better restaurants in the area - Melbourne Street, O'Connell Street or even better, go down to Gouger Street in the CBD.
