This is good emergency accommodation. It has a clean comfortable bed, but it was cold and there are no extra blankets or extra anything for that matter. You can buy cereal & milk for cost price at reception, but BYO cutlery and bowl. The bathroom and toilets are unisex and BYO shampoo etc. Otherwise there is an IGA across the road. There is also a nice cafe one block up on Frome St which has free wifi.
Some of the rooms in the cordior oozed the smell of vomit, this was on a Monday & Tuesday night and the cleaner thought it was uni students hangovers.
I didn't notice many people staying there, had the assylum feel to it, It has 24hr security, felt quite safe, but was surprised at the amount of people up and about at 4am. The room contains an alarm clock which is bracketed down as they have a big theft problem, so imagine a room from the sixties with a bed and alarm clock. Also met a lot of people with 'problems' too, but as a very early emergency check in, it was convenient and appreciated and only $20.30 per night.
