“Great overnighter in North Adelaide”

I stay here quite often if we have a function close by. Reasonable rates and comfortable rooms. If you are looking for luxury this isn't your cup of tea however I find it very comfortable for the price. Never had any problems with booking and paying online. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We live in the country, so it was handy to stay somewhere close to the venue we were having a gathering at. We booked the business room because of the price, everywhere else was a fair bit more expensive. If your looking to save money and just want a bed for the night. Then this will do. But if you want some luxury, then go somewhere else. Or book a more expensive room. The service is very good. They look after you very well. The restaurant is lovely, with a good ambience. If we lived closer, would go there just for a romantic evening meal.

Room Tip: If your looking for luxury, dont choose business class

Stayed at this hotel as part of a bed and breakfast deal. The location in the heart of North Adelaide is fantastic with plenty of restaurants and cafés with easy walking distance. The only issue is the hotel was built in the 70's and is in need of some upgrades.
It's clean and comfortable, but our room had a dripping tap in the bathroom and the in bath shower was a bit slippery. The included breakfast was nice with cereal, toast and fruit, but we had to ask for more bread to toast and butter and the fruit ran out quickly.
The pool is not heated but the spa was both of which are outside. The spa was a bit cloudy too!
The staff are lovely and helpful, but was not overly impressed with the overall experience!

Room Tip: Not sure which room is better than any others. It's a two story, so avoid the ground floor if p...

Even though the Old Adelaide is old it is still a great value place to stay in Adelaide.
Position perfect in O'Connell St Nth Adelaide the restaurants and pubs nearby and easy access to the city make the location ideal. Parkland's a block away are a great place for a run to work off the visits to the restaurants and pubs.
Rooms are very big and clean but also very "beige". The decor is so dated it is just about back in vogue.
I had a bed and breakfast package that was good value for money.

Room Tip: My room #1017 had a little noise from an AC unit nearby. Im sure if I had asked to be moved they wo...

We spent a lovely night here. Our room was a little old fashioned but I consider that to be unique and I enjoyed the retro atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms very clean. Little touches such as a shaving mirror, full size hairdryer, good lighting, lovely toiletries all helped to make the stay comfortable. The bar and food areas were cosy and inviting and the pool and spa looked lovely. We would stay again.

North Adelaide is a nice location to stay. Close enough to the city without being in it. There are plenty of dining options around the hotel. The room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was included in our package, but would have been considered expensive if it wasn't. The pool and spa looked inviting for a summer holiday.

Stayed here for a night with a group of other carers. Sadly the place was certainly not the standard i expected or value for money! I stayed here 10yrs ago and dont think anything has been renovated since. The room was small, old & musty, with worn furniture. The bathroom was nice however. I ordered room service as the menu in the restaraunt was overpriced and didn't offer as many choices as the room menu and slightly better prices. My Haloumi salad for entree was nice, although i wouldn't have thought to use lettuce that was brown around edges! My main was chicken parmigiana. It was a small serve and the topping was not so nice under the well melted cheese. I had the hazelnut cheesecake, again the price was around $14 and came in a very small glass with the base so hard i thought i'de smash the glass trying to break it with the spoon. I went to reception to ask a question, where i waited for nearly 10mins for someone to show, during this time an employee who was working in the restaraunt, was also looking for the manager who was outside in the carpark sorting cars? The room was NOT noise controlled and during the night, i could hear many noises coming from outside, corridoors & banging of doors etc Overall i would not have rated this hotel more than 3 stars & certainly recommend they look at the menu and asking prices.
