“Nice night stay after a wedding”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We stayed here after my brothers wedding which was held in the hotel too.
The reception staff were friendly and courteous. Car parking is limited but being part of the wedding party we were able to negotiate a reserved spot.
The room we stayed is was spacious and comfortable, with a comfortable queen sized bed, plenty of wardrobe space and a very effective heater. The bathroom was tight but the space included a shower-over-bath. Triple mirror was cool.
The buffet meal at the reception was very nice, awesome risotto! In the morning we also had breakfast as although we had the standard continental it was hearty and well optioned although perhaps a bit pricey at $20.
Considering we got a discounted rate for the wedding this was excellent value and a comfortable stay. Not sure what full rates are but they would be worth paying for the location and overall pleasant stay. We may well stay again rather than the CBD where we usually stay when we come to the city from the mid north of the state.

Extremely friendly, helpful and very good rooms, service was extremely helpful, did not get a chance to try the restaurant but will next trip, plenty of parking but not under cover, good size rooms. Very helpful reception with hints on shows, movies etc.Close to great restaurants if not wanting the in house restaurant.

Room Tip: back rooms are very quiet

I stayed here for 1 night prior to flying home the day after. This hotel was perfect for a short stay and sold at a really reasonable price. The location was perfect, just a short journey away from the CBD and 20 minutes by car from the airport. The hotel has its own restaurant however I didn't eat here as just outside the hotel there is a great selection of restaurants. A few shops too.

I booked a family room which was a little basic but for the price I paid it was absolutely fine. Very clean and comfortable with TV, Air-Con/Heater, tea/coffee making facilities and bath with shower. My only negative was that we did book online and stated we had a child (hence the family room) however upon check-in, they did try to charge us an extra $35 for the child although when we challenged this, they did kindly reduce the cost back down to what was agreed online. There was also a sigh outside stating "children stay free" so just double check!

Overall though really happy with this hotel - basic but well priced and much better than Motels available at a similar cost. Free Parking too :)

Room Tip: Family rooms come with Queen Bed and a single bed with plenty of room. Just make sure they don't...

Actual room was basic but nice, parking was a bit of an issue on a busy Saturday night but would definitely stay again! I got friendly service the whole night even when getting let in at 5:30am in the morning.

We had our wedding reception in the Snooty Fox April 20 . The venue was absolutely beautiful. the coordinator Danielle was outstanding, she was so helpful and went out of her way to make the decor more than we could have hoped for. The waiting staff were delightful and the food was fabulous!!!! In our room was waiting a bottle of bubbles (which we forgot to take lol) , chocolate covered strawberries and a gift box with two crystal flute glasses.

Thank you Danielle, for everything you were just fantastic.

Our guests raved about the venue, the food, the fab night !!

I will continue to keep going back. I have worked in hospitality over 30 years in Sydney working in the best I was shocked by what this Hotel had to offer I read reviews after I had booked and had an open mind, to my amazement I loved it and my bed was very comfortable the only noise I heard was the garbage truck Friday morning to to get up anyway. Dinning room how I loved that dinning room and breakfast you could not ask for 1 more thing everything you could imagine and much, much, more..even smoked salmon can you believe that I cant wait to revisit next month and I will be looking forward to dinning in this time.
The furniture was Old yes suited the Hotel, The Old Adelaide, spotless I couldn't fault it I am fussy...Congratulations to management and staff I will always reccomend you where ever I go thank you for a beautiful stay and will be back! Every thing at your door if you are not sure all you have to do is ask have everything you need all within 5 mins walk...Can't wait till i return and a huge thank you!

This place seems to be doing a roaring trade as a function centre as well as still calling itself a hotel. The functions are VERY noisy so no chance of sleeping - not sure why they even have hotel rooms considering how loud it is.
Seriously this 'hotel' needs to make up its mind about what it is. You can't have loud wedding dance music blaring right next to a hotel room. It's just not right!
Very disappointed.
Very tired too.

Room Tip: No room is spared from multiple functions.
