If you are realistic in your expectations then this hotel is fine. It's not 4.5 stars, but then the price isn't either. If you're expecting 4.5 stars you'll be bitter. Grab one of the specials that has breakfast packaged in, they're good value.
Pros: Inexpensive, breakfast, nice outlook over parks, on site parking, clean.
Cons: Rooms average, small tv, difficult shower.
I was in the middle of a long, regular drive across SA. I wanted a bed, buffet breakfast and on site parking. I have stayed at most of the hotels in Adelaide but as I only wanted a bed and breakfast I was happy to take a gamble and not stay at one of my more expensive favourites.
Certainly the hotel isn't impressive at all to look at. Service is non existent, but then I wasn't paying for service so that's fine. The room was of a normal size and clean. The balconies would never be clean as they are a haven for pidgeons. Indeed I wouldn't worry about the balcony at all as the doors make a noise like thunder. The shower is over a bath which is a personal hatred of mine as getting in and out is a pain for anyone with mobility issues like me.
All that being said, I paid a very cost effective rate for a deluxe queen room with breakfast.More
